This 2009 VW Golf was recovered into LVS with no drive, after initial check over on the ramp, all driveshaft’s, CV Joints seemed to be intact.
Our customer was contacted and informed that the vehicles’ gearbox would need to be removed to inspect the condition of the clutch and dual mass flywheel. Once the gearbox was removed it was obvious that the clutch plate had worn excessively along with partial seizure of the dual mass flywheel and with enough evidence that these components were the contributing factor to the loss of drive.
The customer was then re-contacted to discuss the findings and the options to repair the vehicle, ensuring that they are aware of everything related to the vehicle with a structured plan of cost and timescale for repair.
The work was authorised, and within no time at all the manufacturer specification parts were ordered, fitted and the car re-built & tested by one of our master technicians. All in time for the customer to make her way back down to London in time for the start of her working week!
